Erica's Senior Photos// Lafayette, Co

Well hello again,

Today I have a senior photo shoot that was done in old town Lafayette, Co. Can I just say that I absolutely love old towns! They are always so quaint and charming and I literally can't get enough of them. So when Erica and her mom said they wanted Erica's photos to be done in old town Lafayette I was so game. Take a look:

1. Tell us a little about yourself

Erica: I love to explore the beauty of Colorado! Boulder and Lafayette are my favorite places! I've just recently stopped playing basketball so I use my time to make some money working at Copper Rail and catching up on my favorite Netflix series The New Girl and The Carrie Diaries

2.What are your plans after high school?

Erica: My plan after high school is to hopefully attend the class of 2017 at Arizona State University, I'm still undecided as to what I would like to do, but I love astronomy!!

3. Who is your favorite movie star and why?

Erica: My favorite movie start is Julia Roberts, she's so elegantly put together and I love her red curly hair!

4.What has been the hardest lesson to learn in high school?

Erica: The hardest lesson I learned in high school was moving on. Things are always happening that we cannot control and we cannot sit and dwell on these things. We must move on because life doesn't stop for anyone and if you continue to dwell on the bad you'll have no time for the good!

5. Who is your biggest role model and why?

Erica: My biggest role model would have to be my mom. She's my absolute best friend and has the kindest heart and the best intentions, even when she's having bad days she always makes sure that I'm taken care of and that I'm happy.

6. If you could have coffee with any 3 people (dead, alive, past, or future) who would it be and why?

Erica: 1. Mac Miller, he's always having crazy adventures living his life to the fullest and I would enjoy hearing how he continues to live his life

2.Jennifer Aniston, she's so effortlessly beautiful and seems to be such a genuine human.

3.Angelina Jolie, she's beat breast cancer and fights to change the world one step at a time.

7. What is your favorite memory of high school?

Erica: My favorite high school memory would have to be participating in my senior years homecoming parade!

8. What is your favorite subject in school and why?

Erica: My favorite subject in school is literature because I love to write and I love learning about the different ways to properly use the language we use everyday.

9. What is your favorite thing to do on a Friday night?

Erica: My favorite thing to do on a Friday night is get together with all my friends and go support our Brighton football boys under the lights!

10. What is your biggest fear about the future?

Erica:My biggest fear of the future is that I'll never really be able to clean up this messy life I live.

11. Do you have any advice for the underclassmen?

Erica: My advice for the underclassmen is, just because someone doesn't like you doesn't mean you should refuse to participate. High school is the best time of your life so make the best of it! Don't be afraid to put yourself out there!

12. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?

Erica: I'd be invisible because then when I wanted to be alone no one could see me and no one would bother me, also I'd be able to prank people and make them think I'm a ghost!

Paige's Senior Photos//Longmont, Co

Hello there!

Today on the blog is a senior photo session located in Longmont, Colorado. Paige's grandmother has beautiful property with a lake right outside her back door as well as some cool fields. When her mom Jill told me they wanted to shoot there I was excited because I love shooting at lakes and I often want to shoot on people's property but never can because it's private. Anyway, with all that to say, here are Paige's awesome senior photos:

1. Tell us about yourself.

Paige: I'm Paige, and I like to consider myself a collector of things. My room is filled to the ceiling with books as well as all of my shelf space. I've also got this really cool printer's tray which has all of these compartments that I can put my rocks, fossils, tiny bottles, bones and stuff in. I also waste away my time by drawing...all the time. It's just something I've done since I was little. Oh, and I play a lot of video games; im actually making one myself too. I recently got a black English lab puppy named Waylon. I've got two cats, one is fluffy and white and named Bluebell, and the other is a black cat named Dante. My favorite subject in school, besides art, would probably be all of my English classes. Within Junior and Senior years, I'll have taken 6 different English courses.

2. What are your plans after high school?

Paige: After school, I really want to work at a museum, even if it's just the window cleaner, or duster or something. Working at a museum would be the living the dream. Immediately after high school though, I'm going to go to college, and hopefully I'll get into Lewis and Clark.

3. What is one of the hardest lessons you've had to learn in high school?

Paige: The hardest lesson has probably been that if you procrastinate, you're on your own. I have a habit of sticking my head in the ground and hoping that any problems I need to solve will go away on their own. Spoiler alert: they don’t.

4. What is your favorite thing to do for fun?

Paige: My favorite thing to do for fun is to draw or play video games. Normally I get really frustrated and angry any time I pick up a pencil, so it's kind of back and forth between art and games.

5. What is one of your favorite memories from high school?

Paige: So far...I think my favorite memory would be my trip to London/Edinburgh. I never imagined I would be able to participate in a school trip that life-changing. Another memory is when I got in trouble for going to the Zoo instead of Physics class. I was not a fan of Physics.

6. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Paige: In five years, I hope to be graduated from some sort of college, and working as a museum technician. They're basically the people who get to set up all the exhibits and mess with all of the cool things.

7. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Paige: If money were nonexistent, I would travel everywhere. But I really want to go to Europe again and be able to travel to tons of different countries, especially for the art and history. I also want to go to New Zealand, even if it's totally just so I can see the scenery from the Lord of the Rings.

8. Who is your best friend isn't what about you both makes you click so well?

Paige: My best friend is Chloe. We've known each other since preschool and have been friends since. We were really weird as kids though. We made up games that would scare each other, and we had hoards of these horse trading cards called Bella Sara cards (which we definitely still have), and we were straight up obsessed with dragons. But she moved to Ohio when we were ten, so we didn't get to talk much. Finally, seven years later, we finally got to see each other again this summer. And absolutely nothing changed, we truly felt as though she never left. It was the most awesome two weeks of us just reliving our childhood and all of the weird things we used to do and all of the old movies we used to watch. It was amazing. I can't imagine any one besides Chloe being my best friend because we like to think that we are literal extensions of each other.

9. If you could have any superpower, what would you have and why?

Paige: My superpower would definitely be the ability to freeze time. It just seems like it would make everything easier. You wouldn't really need to wait in line, or have to take timed tests, or anything. You could just pause time for awhile to do whatever you need to do and then, boom, unpause and everything's back to normal. It seems awesome

10. What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Paige: Old school, artistic, and laid-back

11. What is one thing you couldn't live without?

Paige: I could not live without music or books. Life would be terrible without either of those…

12. Do you have any advice for the underclassmen?

Paige: My advice would probably be to respect your teachers (it's a pet peeve when people are rude in class). Also, relax and take a breather every now and then.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed getting to know Paige!
