The pain of my parents divorce was nearly unbearable. As an adult I didn't think it would be so hard but let me tell you, it was probably one of the hardest things I've been through. Because of the pain my whole family has endured, I am choosing love and to stand for love, even when it's hard.

Marriage is not just about committing to your spouse, but more importantly, it's about a covenant with each other. It is to be valued above everything else; to be treasured as the most precious jewel. My couples understand that when they say "I do," it means "I do forever no matter what."  These are the types of weddings I love to shoot. A wedding where a bride and groom make a covenant to each other in front of everyone that they know will keep them accountable to their word so that when the most difficult times of their lives hit, they cannot tap out and give up. My photos are to be kept as reminders of that covenant and as memories of the time when you said I do forever because the hard times will come but you need to remember that if you were happy once, you can be happy again.
