Missy's Senior Photos// Boulder, Co

Hello again,

Today on the blog I have Missy's senior photos up that we took at Chautauqua Park and on Pearl Street in Boulder, Co. Missy loves nature and mountains so we both thought Chautauqua Park would be perfect. Plus, Pearl Street is just a quick drive away so we were able to cruise over there to get a few shots with the old town vibe. Check it out:

1. Tell us about yourself (Do you have any hobbies, favorite candy, where you go to school).

Missy: I love to paint, play piano, draw, write, read poetry, do puzzles, and watch Netflix. I used to be really involved with Theatre, but I got sick in 8th grade and was diagnosed with Lupus. I was too sick to continue theatre after that. Lupus is an auto immune disease where my body basically attacks itself (You can read more about it online if you would like). Because there's no cure for Lupus I have to live with it for the rest of my life. I also had to leave traditional school, because I get sick so easily and can't be around all the bugs that go around in school. I've done a self-taught program from home ever since. A couple years after I was diagnosed with Lupus I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disease. It also has no cure. I found my love of art and writing through my diseases. It's nice to have an outlet that I can do even with my health issues. Even though normal tasks can be very difficult for me, I still push myself to be able to do anything I want to do! (:  Through these difficulties I've truly found myself and what I love.

2. What are your plans after high school?

Missy: My plan is to do work helping others. I'd love to work at a nursing home and with foster kids! (:

3. Who is your biggest role model and why?

Missy: My biggest role model is my mom Shellie! She's taught me how to love others and God. Which is more important than anything! She's also taught me to never give up, and to always believe in myself. (: I love her very much!

4. What do you like to do on Saturdays?

Missy: I like to spend my Saturday's at home relaxing with my doggies and watching movies or hanging out with people I love!

5. Where do you like to go shopping?

Missy: This one is a hard one! I'd have to say I find the most joy shopping at thrift stores. You never know what you're gonna find! Either way it's fun.

6. Do you have any hobbies?

Missy: I love to do all sorts of things, but I'm very simple. I love to be in the mountains, and if I could I would go every weekend! I love doing art projects, playing piano, writing, taking pictures, read poetry, do puzzles, play video games, play card games, and name people's cars for them. I also love to go camping even though we can't go very often. If I had more time I would go all summer! Oh and I love driving my car! Her names Blitz.

7. What is your biggest fear about growing up?

Missy: My biggest fear is losing sight of whats most important! I dont want to be the kind of person who is always chasing something! In my future i just want to be content with what i have no matter what it is. (:

8. What do you look forward to the most after high school?

Missy: I'm looking forward to being with my boyfriend Caleb again! Caleb and I have been together for 2 years and 6 months! He moved about 9 months ago to Florida, but he's is moving back to Colorado in May!!!!! I can't wait to be with him again. (:

9. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Missy: In 10 years, I see myself working a job where I'm helping others in some way, being married to my best friend Caleb, traveling, and living simply. WITH NO KIDS (;

10. What is one piece of advice you have for underclassmen?

Missy: My advice would be to love yourself, never give up, make goals, have dreams, and never quit trying to accomplish them no matter what it takes or how many times you fail! <3

11. What was/is your favorite class in high school?

Missy: Art.

12. What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Missy: My biggest accomplishment is that I've overcome living with 2 chronic illnesses! I never let  that hold me back, and I've always pushed myself even when it's hard. I can't pin- point one thing other than that because I feel like I've overcome a lot of hard times! I'm proud of that. My biggest accomplishment is never giving up. Sometimes that's hard to do!(:

So there you go! Thanks for reading.
